ST. IGNATIUS HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
The purpose of the St. Ignatius Home and School Association (HSA) is to support quality Catholic education for the students of St. Ignatius Catholic School through a collaborative network of volunteers, parents, faculty and school administration who provide a nurturing environment in which our students are challenged to grow in faith, knowledge and the skills necessary to reach their full potential. The Home and School Association places the highest priority on the spiritual and moral development of our students and families. Focusing on service toward others, we will strive to create a community that integrates academic excellence with Catholic values and welcomes participation from all members of the St. Ignatius Catholic School, Holy Apostles Parish and the greater Treasure Valley community. The Home and School Association will also serve as the primary fundraising vehicle for St. Ignatius Catholic School.
Why is HSA so important to St. Ignatius Catholic School?
HSA provides an opportunity to:
- Build our school community.
- Involve parents actively in the school and the education of their children.
- Allow teachers to spend more time directly with the children.
- Keep school tuition affordable through fundraising efforts.
The following is a list of the standing HSA Committees which have been organized to support the mission and purpose of our Home and School Association:
Fundraising Committees
- Fire Gala Dinner and Auction
- Fall Festival
- Jog-a-thon
Standing Committees
- Wolf Den (Uniform Exchange)
- Welcoming/Hospitality
- Community Garden
- Festival of Trees
- Service Committee
- Cookies with Santa
The HSA is open to all parents/guardians of enrolled students at St. Ignatius Catholic School. Please note that membership is automatic and there are no fees or dues to be an active member. We seek family volunteers to share their creative ideas, talents and time to support the execution of HSA events and programs. Elections for the next school year are held in the spring.
HSA Meetings are typically held in the Commons each month during the school year. Each meeting will consist of general HSA updates, standing committee updates, budget review, recap of recently completed events and a review of upcoming events. All members are invited to attend. If you are interested in becoming further involved with the HSA contact any one of the current officers.
